Foot Institute Podiatrists put in about a decade in learning, the first four years in undergrad studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to get a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles usual medical school and a number of podiatry programs lie inside these academic institutions. After attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

Upon the finalization of the internship or post degree residency, our Doctors have obtained encompassing medical training with a concentration on problems involving the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are educated to care for complications varying from common afflictions like ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are more sophisticated like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute also have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet undergo as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Learning about biomechanics and gait abnormalities allows a Foot doctor to design footwear and orthotics that can offer pain relief and minimize the risk of countless troubles which the feet routinely encounter.
